Why should my organization join the Friends of the Family program?
The Friends of the Family program offers the chance for your organization to network with other like-minded individuals and exposure to a dedicated community. Your organization will have a place to showcase off achievements and landmark events, and your site has the opportunity to gain more traffic and gain new fresh content on a regular basis. Furthermore, the Family will gladly visit your site in addition to giving free promotion of your organization to any and all people it comes across.
How do I determine what type of organization we are?
If you are an organization that focuses primarily on actively competing in on-line or Live competitions and / or playing video games for the sake of a community, then you would be considered a clan or team.
If you are an organization designed to bring up and coming news on new video games, hardware, software, accessories, updates in the industry, or anything related to gaming news, you would be considered a gaming organization or site.
If you are none of the above, but instead a community centralized around one concept or several interests, then you would be filed as a non-gaming organization.
Any type of organization is welcome to be considered a Friend of the Family.
What kind of exposure would an affiliate get?
Our forums and website has a steady flow of traffic on a daily basis. Furthermore, the members of the Family are likely to mention and promote your organization at live events or meetings. This only increases your exposure exponentially.
What size banners are needed?
Depending on the location, banners can and will range in size. They will be advertised on the main page, the Friends of the Family page, and various areas of our forums.
What types of events does the Family have in mind?
the Family wants to hold LAN events of all types. Live tournaments would be great to further the competitive aspect of the gaming community. Casual LANs are also a great way for communities to meet, get together, and have fun doing whatever and thus laying the foundation for new friendships and strengthening old ones. And finally, charities LANs would be a great way to give back to a cause that the Family wants to fight for and help put gaming into a positive light.
