15 years after E-day
Now I know this part may be a bit out of proportion, but it's just a theory so stay with me. Adam brings many destructive charges and moves deeper into the Hollow than he's ever gone. He may have possibly kept a tape recorded journal, for every day he was down there. This would explain why the Locust have him on their computer saying, "There appears to be only one way to end this war, but I fear the cost may be too great. If we were to sink Jacinto, it would flood the Hollow with seawater. Nothing below would survive. We could end this war today." Then he was captured by the Locust and since the Locust are fighting the war with the Lambent they now are going to use Adam's plan to sink Jacinto and kill off the Lambent once and for all, which explains The Queen's speech about water meeting fire and their enemies meeting their doom. "The Hollow will be flooded (Water) and will meet the lambent (Fire) and kill them."
Then this explains all about why they were using the worm to punch holes around Jacinto to sink it, but they were still trying to evacutate all Locust from Underground before they Sank it. Once they lost the Rift Worm they might have had some way to still sink Jacinto, but Marcus came and impeded there progress and sunk it before they wanted which, while destroying the Lambent, destroyed many of their own forces at the same time. Now at the end I think Adam managed to escape enprisonment, since the Locust were in dissarray and make it back to the surface through his old path. At the end he returned to his mansion, and while overlooking the still sinking Jacinto, he tries to contact the COG Command hoping someone was still there or alive where his message comes in
